Sea Ranch Chapel

Open daily to the public, 365 days a year from sunrise to sunset. The grounds surrounding the chapel as well as the structure itself were the gifts of Sea Ranch residents, Robert and Betty Buffum. James Hubbell, artist and architectural designer, is the creative genius who combined local natural materials with gifted local contractors, craftsmen, and artisans.

The Mendocino Stone Ranch (also known as The Mendocino Stone Zone) is a unique 50-acre estate on the Mendocino Coast in Northern California. Our property features over 30 captivating stone installations for visitors to explore. In addition to our outdoor stone art gallery, open to the public for guided tours on the first Sunday of every month from 11-1, by appointment for private tours ($150) and by appointment for self-tours ($10) - email contact@stoneranchmendo.com to book a spot

Local Beaches
California boasts numerous concealed beaches along its coastline. Some are so discreetly tucked away that visitors must pass through a rock arch or tunnel to reach them. Below is a compilation of these extraordinary beaches. it’s wise to check tide tables prior to your visit.

Point Arena Pier
If you want to go fishing, the pier has a boat launch and a hoist, open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day, depending on the weather. Also on the pier are fish-cleaning tables, outdoor showers and restrooms. Fish found here are rocky-area species; they include kelp and rock greenling, cabezon and lingcod, striped, white and (a few) calico perch, walleye and silver surfperch, shinerperch, grass, black and blue rockfish, small bocaccio, Pacific tomcod, starry flounder and an occasional salmon. Unusual species include large buffalo sculpin and wolf eels.
